生物学描述

Trypsin-like protease inhibitor. Reversibly inhibits airway epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) function (IC₅₀= 50 nM). Inhibits the production of TNF-α and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) by monocytes and disrupts proliferation of pancreatic stellate cells in a rat model of pancreatic fibrosis.

Inhibits transmembrane serine protease TMPRSS2 and blocks entry of SARS-Cov-2 into lung cells
