Application Comments	TIMPs bind MMPs in a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio, but due to the variable concentration of MMPs in biological samples the optimal amount of TIMP-1 will be assay dependent and should be determined by titration. It is reported that TIMP-1 inhibits 6.7 nM MMP-1 with an IC₅₀ of 1-5 nM (see application references).
