Recombinant, human erythropoietin (EPO) expressed in CHO cells. EPO is a glycoprotein produced by the kidneys and is involved in red blood cell production. It has a predicted molecular mass of ~21 kDa but migrates at ~37 kDa on SDS-PAGE.
Sialic acid content: > 10 moles/mole of protein.
