The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent induction of choline acetyl transferase activity in rat basal forebrain primary septal cultures was found to be 25-50 ng/mL. The ED50 as determined by its availability to stimulate chick E8 neurite outgrowth was found to be 0.1-1.0 ng/mL
