Application	The Human Metabolic Hormone Panel, using the Luminex xMAP technology, enables the simultaneous analysis of 13 protein biomarkers in human serum, plasma and cell/tissue culture samples.
Key Applications	Multiplexing
Application Notes	• There are 15 biomarkers to choose from in this kit. However, this is a 13-plex kit since the following analytes cannot be run simultaneously: Amylin (Active) & Amylin (Total); GLP-1 (Active) & GLP-1 (Total). • The following analytes require the addition of protease inhibitors to the serum or plasma samples (see sample collection and storage section in the protocol for details): GLP-1 (DPPIV inhibitor); Amylin (protease inhibitor cocktail); Glucagon (Aprotinin); Ghrelin (Active) (serine protease inhibitor). • The protocol recommends serum or plasma samples be run neat. Tissue culture samples may be run neat or may require a dilution with an appropriate control medium. • For optimal sensitivity, use an overnight (16 - 18 hour) incubation. • Each well requires 25 uL of sample, standard or control.
