  • CONTROL ANTIGEN: Included free of charge with the antibody is 20 μg of control antigen (lyophilized powder). The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 μL of sterile distilled water. For negative control, preincubate 1 μg of protein with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.
Presentation Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA, and 0.025% sodium azide as a preservative. Reconstitute with 200 μL of sterile deionized water. Centrifuge antibody preparation before use (10,000 xg for 5 min).

The encoded protein may form a heterodimer with another potassium channel protein and may be responsible for the potassium buffering action of glial cells in the brain. Mutations in this gene have been associated with seizure susceptibility of common idiopathic generalized epilepsy syndromes.

The inward rectification is mainly due to the blockage of outward current by internal magnesium. Can be blocked by extracellular barium and cesium (By similarity).
