  • CONTROL ANTIGEN: Included free of charge with the antibody is 20 μg of control antigen. The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 μL of sterile distilled water. For negative control, preincubate 1 μg of peptide with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.

DISEASE: SwissProt: Q14643 # Defects in ITPR1 are the cause of spinocerebellar ataxia type 15 (SCA15) (SCA15) [MIM:606658]. Spinocerebellar ataxia is a clinically and genetically heterogeneous group of autosomal dominant cerebellar ataxias (ADCA). Patients show progressive incoordination of gait and often poor coordination of hands, speech and eye movements. Spinocerebellar ataxia is caused by degeneration of the cerebellum with variable involvement of the brainstem and spinal cord. SCA15 is a very slow progressing form. It has a wide range of onset from childhood to adult. Most patients remain ambulatory.
