Specificity Recognizes rat Arginine Vasopressin Receptor V1a (AVR-V1a). The immunogen shows no significant sequence homology with AVR-V1b, AVR-V2 or AVR-V3.

SPECIES REACTIVITIES: The immunogen peptide is 84% conserved in mouse, 68% in human and 52% in sheep AVR-V1a. Reactivity with other species has not been confirmed.

The receptor mediates cell contraction and proliferation, platelet aggregation, release of coagulation factor and glycogenolysis.
