[1] The IP KIT contains anti-BLMH magnetic Beads (2 mg/mL) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) with sodium azide (0.1%).
[2] Using NP-40 cell lysate buffer in the kit is required, otherwise, the magnetic beads may be precipitated.
[3] Shipping: Magnetic Beads kits are shipped at ambient temperature in which magnetic beads are provided in liquid buffer.
Anti-BLMH Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Product Description
The Anti-BLMH magnetic Beads, conjugated with Anti-BLMH antibody, are used for immuneprecipitation (IP) of BLMH proteins which expressed in vitro expression systems. For IP, the beads are added to a sample containing BLMH proteins to form a bead-protein complex. The complex is removed from the solution manually using a magnetic separator. The bound BLMH proteins are dissociated from the magnetic beads using an elution buffer. Anti-BLMH Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Antibody Information

BLMH Background Information
The papain superfamily member bleomycin hydrolase (BLMH) is a cytoplasmic cysteine peptidase that is highly conserved through evolution. The only known activity of the enzyme is metabolic inactivation of the glycopeptide bleomycin (BLM), an essential component of combination chemotherapy regimens for cancer. The papain superfamily member bleomycin hydrolase (BLMH) is a neutral cysteine protease with structural similarity to a 2S proteasome. Bleomycin (BLM), a clinically used glycopeptide anticancer agent. BLMH is an essential protectant against BLM-induced death and has an important role in neonatal survival and in maintaining epidermal integrity. Sequencing revealed several putative sites phosphorylated by different types of protein kinases, but no signal sequence, transmembrane domain, N-linked glycosylation site or DNA-binding motif.
Full Name
