[1] The IP KIT contains anti-PFDN2 magnetic Beads (2 mg/mL) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) with sodium azide (0.1%).
[2] Using NP-40 cell lysate buffer in the kit is required, otherwise, the magnetic beads may be precipitated.
[3] Shipping: Magnetic Beads kits are shipped at ambient temperature in which magnetic beads are provided in liquid buffer.
Anti-PFDN2 Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Product Description
The Anti-PFDN2 magnetic Beads, conjugated with Anti-PFDN2 antibody, are used for immuneprecipitation (IP) of PFDN2 proteins which expressed in vitro expression systems. For IP, the beads are added to a sample containing PFDN2 proteins to form a bead-protein complex. The complex is removed from the solution manually using a magnetic separator. The bound PFDN2 proteins are dissociated from the magnetic beads using an elution buffer. Anti-PFDN2 Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Antibody Information

PFDN2 Background Information
PFD2, also known as PFDN2, belongs to the prefoldin beta subunit family. PFD2 is one of six subunits of prefoldin, a molecular chaperone complex that binds and stabilizes newly synthesized polypeptides, thereby allowing them to fold correctly. The complex, consisting of two alpha and four beta subunits, forms a double beta barrel assembly with six protruding coiled-coils. PFD2 binds specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it. PFD2 also binds to a nascent polypeptide chain and promotes folding in an setting in which there are many competing pathways for nonnative proteins.
Full Name
prefoldin subunit 2
