[1] The IP KIT contains anti-CKMT1A magnetic Beads (2 mg/mL) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) with sodium azide (0.1%).
[2] Using NP-40 cell lysate buffer in the kit is required, otherwise, the magnetic beads may be precipitated.
[3] Shipping: Magnetic Beads kits are shipped at ambient temperature in which magnetic beads are provided in liquid buffer.
Anti-CKMT1A Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Product Description
The Anti-CKMT1A magnetic Beads, conjugated with Anti-CKMT1A antibody, are used for immuneprecipitation (IP) of CKMT1A proteins which expressed in vitro expression systems. For IP, the beads are added to a sample containing CKMT1A proteins to form a bead-protein complex. The complex is removed from the solution manually using a magnetic separator. The bound CKMT1A proteins are dissociated from the magnetic beads using an elution buffer. Anti-CKMT1A Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Antibody Information

CKMT1A Background Information
CKMT1A belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family. It contains 1 phosphagen kinase C-terminal domain and 1 phosphagen kinase N-terminal domain. CKMT1A gene is one of two genes which encode the ubiquitous mitochondrial creatine kinase (CKMT1). CKMT1 is responsible for the transfer of high energy phosphate from mitochondria to the cytosolic carrier, creatine. It belongs to the creatine kinase isoenzyme family. It exists as two isoenzymes, sarcomeric MtCK (CKMT2) and ubiquitous MtCK, encoded by separate genes. CKMT1 occurs in two different oligomeric forms: dimers and octamers, in contrast to the exclusively dimeric cytosolic creatine kinase isoenzymes. Ubiquitous mitochondrial creatine kinase has 8% homology with the coding exons of sarcomeric CKMT1.
Full Name
