[1] The IP KIT contains anti-KAP1 magnetic Beads (2 mg/mL) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) with sodium azide (0.1%).
[2] Using NP-40 cell lysate buffer in the kit is required, otherwise, the magnetic beads may be precipitated.
[3] Shipping: Magnetic Beads kits are shipped at ambient temperature in which magnetic beads are provided in liquid buffer.
Anti-KAP1 Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Product Description
The Anti-KAP1 magnetic Beads, conjugated with Anti-KAP1 antibody, are used for immuneprecipitation (IP) of KAP1 proteins which expressed in vitro expression systems. For IP, the beads are added to a sample containing KAP1 proteins to form a bead-protein complex. The complex is removed from the solution manually using a magnetic separator. The bound KAP1 proteins are dissociated from the magnetic beads using an elution buffer. Anti-KAP1 Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Antibody Information

KAP1 Background Information
Tripartite motif containing 28 (TRIM28) as a transcriptional co-repressor has been reported playing a role in regulating DNA damage response (DDR), cell differentiation, immune response, and tumorigenesis. The germline loss of function mutations in TRIM28 predispose children to Wilms tumour. TRIM28 through its translational suppression of the family of KRAB domain transcription factors in tumor stromal compartments. TRIM28 as a tumor promoter in B-NHL and may be a novel target for drug resistance to Bortezomib. TRIM28 promoted cervical cancer cell growth by activating the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway. that TRIM28 plays a pivotal role in cervical cancer cell proliferation and might serve as a potential therapeutic target.
