TLE1 Background Information
Groucho (Gro)/Transducin-like enhancer of split (TLE) family proteins act as co-repressors of many transcription factors, and are involved in key signaling pathways. TLE1 is an oncogenic transcriptional co-repressor that exerts its repressive effects through binding of transcription factors. The Transducin-like enhancer of split 1 (TLE1) corepressor protein is overexpressed in human lung tumors and is a putative lung-specific oncogene.
Full Name
transducin-like enhancer of split 1 (E(sp1) homolog, Drosophila)
