Preparation and Storage
Background: AGTR-2
AGTR-2 is a 7-transmembrane protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor family 1. Both AGTR-2 and AGTR-1 bind Angiotensin II (Ang II) and function in hemodynamics. In contrast to AGTR-1-related function, Ang II-mediated AGTR-2 signaling inhibits growth, promotes apoptosis, and induces nitric oxide release. AGTR-2 is the dominant receptor subtype in fetal tissues with limited expression in normal adult tissues.
