Preparation and Storage
Background: OXGR1/GPR80/P2Y15
OXGR1/GPR80 is a receptor for alpha-ketoglutarate that seems to act exclusively through a G(q)-mediated pathway. OXGR1/GPR80 is detected in kidney and, to a lower extent, in placenta. OXGR1/GPR80 mRNA levels were inversely correlated with DNA methylation as examined in paired adjacent normal and tumor samples. Hypermethylated OXGR1/GPR80 is frequent in hepatocellular carcinoma and may be a useful marker in clinical applications.
