Preparation and Storage
Background: GPR74/NPFFR2
GPR74, also known as NPFFR2 (neuropeptide FF receptor 2) is a seven-transmembrane glycoprotein of the rhodopsin receptor superfamily. It is activated by neuropeptides such as the morphine-modulating peptides NPAF (A-18-F-amide) and NPFF (F-8-F-amide). Through GPR74 signaling, these neuropeptides also inhibit catecholamine-induced adipocyte lipolysis. GPR74 expression is increased in obese adipose tissue.
