Preparation and Storage
Background: C5L2/GPR77
C5L2, also known as GPR77, is a 45 kDa 7TM receptor that binds the complement proteins C3a, C4a, and C5a as well as the acylation stimulating peptide (ASP). C5L2 is expressed on various hematopoietic cells where it promotes complement-mediated inflammation. ASP binding to C5L2 on adipocytes triggers triglyceride synthesis and glucose uptake and inhibits lipolysis.
