Preparation and Storage
Background: P2X5/P2RX5
P2RX5 belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP that function as ligand-gated ion channels. P2RX5 is believed to form a trimer with another member of this family, P2RX1. P2RX5 mRNA expression is detected in a significant portion of solid tumor cell lines, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC), melanoma, colorectal carcinoma, brain cancer and breast cancer. Expression was also detected in a subset of primary solid tumor specimens derived from RCC, brain cancer and breast cancer patients.
