Human low density lipoprotein (LDL) is one of the key lipid:protein complexes in blood and is a crucial component of metabolism responsible for the transport of lipids throughout the body. This Low Density Lipoprotein From Human Plasma complexed with pHrodo Red dye (pHrodo Red-LDL) is a valuable tool in studies of LDL uptake through endocytosis and trafficking of LDL throughout the cell. pHrodo Red-LDL is dimly fluorescent at neutral pH outside of cells, but fluoresces brightly after endocytosis. This feature allows for a no-wash protocol when using pHrodo Red-LDL, enabling kinetic measurement of LDL uptake, endosomal maturation, and trafficking in cells. This fluorescently-labeled LDL has been designed for use with fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, cell sorting, high-throughput analysis, and high content analysis.

• Mutiplexable with green, deep red, violet, and blue emission dyes, such as GFP, DAPI, Hoechst, HCS LipidTOX, and LysoTracker Deep Red
• No-wash protocol possible, allowing dynamic measurement of LDL uptake and trafficking
